Want

I like shirts that only a fan would understand.
This one ranks right up there with my Lost t-shirt.

Anticipation.....

Pillow fabric...it's a little less white and more of a neutral in person.

Almost a month ago, Alan and I finally broke down and bought a new sofa and chair.  We've been pricing, shopping, debating this for months, but since our sofa (that we absolutely love) is finally getting so thread bare the piping is showing through, we decided to take the plunge.  We looked forever because we want our furniture to last a LONG time.  I mean we've had our present sofa and chair for 14 years and I want this next set to last even longer.  I'm also very picky about style.  I like the style I have now and wanted the same (classic, not bulky, no foo-foo, no skirt, well made).  We finally found exactly what we were looking, so we did it...we ordered the furniture.  So in hopefully a week (after a long 30 day wait) our new set will be here.  We went with a cocoa brown sofa and a complimentary lighter brown chair.  One set of pillows will be the same cocoa but the others I decided to go with more fun pattern that can be changed when styles change (pic above).  I had to somehow bring in all the red in my living room and tie in our antique mustard colored chair.   It looks great with the sofa and chair fabric.  I just hope it works when we bring it into the room.  I guess we'll see next week. :)

It's one of those weeks.....

Yea, it's one of those weeks.  Too long, too loud, too busy, too much bickering, too many "Mrs. Ater, you know what" stories, too many bathroom requests, too much talking, too many stuffy noses, too much rushing, too much of mommying other people's kids, too little time getting to mommy my own kids, too little time with my man, and too little chocolate.

But...tomorrow is Thursday and then it's Friday and then it is finally SATURDAY!  Whoo-hoo!!!  The weekend is a'comin'!

Reading Roundup and My Little Cowgirl

The week before Spring Break, Ladybug had a Kindergarten Reading Roundup and Ho-Down.  I couldn't
make up it to the ho-down (I was giving a test.), but I got someone to cover me so I could go to the reading part.  The kids were too cute, especially mine (I'm not biased...not at all.)

My Cowgirl

Love this pic!  Just too funny.  They had to decorate a little cowgirl/boy for outside their classroom.  This was Z's idea.  I didn't realize how much they matched until I uploaded this picture.  I think I'm going to have to come up with something fun to do with "Little Ladybug" when we get her home.  Maybe send her to my sister-in-law in D.C. and have her take her to some landmarks or something.

Reading one of her leveled readers to me.
Mommy and Ladybug
Thought this was a cute idea.  They sat in their chairs backwards. Taped a head to the back and a yarn tail to the seat, so they could ride their horses while they read.  Because as we all know, every cowgirl needs a horse.

Tron Birthday Party Pics as Promised

Party Favors
I made VIP passes on lanyards for each of the boys.
(I altered the pic and changed his name, incase your wondering who Jomans is.)

The Party Goers (J-man is the one posing).  I think he was trying to instruct them to give some type of serious "Tron" Laser Tag Warrior face.

Happy Birthday, J-man!

10 years ago today.
Today.
I love this boy!  He's one of the kindest, sweetest, most loving, most curious, smartest, and  most humorous kids in the world.  His Daddy and I thank God everyday for trusting us with him.  His name means Deliverer of Joy...he's more than met that expectation.  We love him to pieces!  Happy Birthday, J-man!!!  Mommy and Daddy are so proud of the big boy you've grown into.
Did I mention he's also one of the goofiest?
